Hoser Classic All Conditions Work Boot Is Enough For Me
Being asked to take a look at and write about a boot from the Muck Boot Company, the Hoser Classic Work Boot, I was hesitant. I’ve written about literally hundreds of different styles and makes of boots and I figured this was going to be just an average write up. I was also revealed that this was by no means a new line of boots but rather an old one, that’s been around for a decade.
After my Hoser boots arrived, I was immediately impressed at the quality of the boots. The way the sole and the upper were actually molded and blended together looked fantastic. The silky nylon upper was something different that’s designed to stretch and keep the boot closed at the top.
Now I was told that the Muck Boot Company has redesigned this boot into the Chore and made some revisions and some modifications, but that since it was so popular, people wanted to continue buying it even though there was a newer version. This is real customer loyalty. Remember when Coke updated their formula to compete with Pepsi and the people revolted so they had to continue the old formula under the “classic” name? This isn’t quite the media buzz that Coke generated, but it is rather impressive.
Walking around in the boots for about twenty minutes or so, I was pleased to see there were no obvious pinch points, and nothing that was going to develop into a blister. The rubber compound is very pliable so there is essentially no break in period as with leather. Well, I can certainly see how people would get accustomed to this particular line of Muck Boots, they are good. I don’t want to give them up.
