Tap Water vs. Bottled Water What is Better?
Have you ever wondered what the difference between bottled water and tap water is? What is better to drink is another question that comes to mind when thinking about the first question. Is one any safer to drink than the other?
There are many answers that come out from many different people when these questions are asked. It is obvious that if people stopped buying bottled water then the bottled water companies would go out of business. Well the fact is that bottled water and tap water happens to be the same thing. This is a statement that is true if there is anywhere on the sticker that states that the water is bottled from any municipal, like bottled water usually. So this means that you are buying water that could have been bottled at your own home.
It is believed by many people that the plastic bottle that the bottled water comes from can leach poisons into the water but it depend how long the water had sat in the bottle. Not only poisons can be present from the plastic but there can be some bacteria as well. There has been studies done that prove the higher price that you pay for bottled water the better the water you get, which is like distilled water usually. This meaning that there may not be poisons and bacteria present in the higher priced water.
All tap water is regulated however there have been some big issues over the past years with tap water not being safe. There have been tests that have given proof that tap water has mercury, aluminium, bacteria and parasites. Along with that mixture of metals there has been some trace amounts of paper products that get flushed down the toilet as well, not just toilet paper. With this said maybe the best form of obtaining water is your tap water filtered yourself. This is similar to fruice juices to most people. With doing it this way you know where the water has come from and what is done to it before you put it in your body.
