The 3 workouts of P90X Workout
Tony Horton’s Extreme Fitness Program is comprised of three different programs. You choose where you wish to start based on the results of your fit test to all you need to do is push play. The 3 options are separated into Classic, Lean, and Doubles. We will cover each P90X workout in this article.
Classic:
This is where the majority of people seem to start. The Classic is self explanatory and has the most variety if you need to get big and lose fat as they get going.
The classic needs approximately 90 minutes on any given day. The tedious workout of the entire routine is named Yoga X.
Personally, I did classic in my first session of the P90X and experienced awesome results by sticking to the program. My diet was not strict and I did not follow the P90X eating plan. But, I did eat healthy and clean, i.e. no soda pop, chocolate, ice cream, red meat, refined sugar, etcetera. I did eat some sugar but watched it carefully. I pretty much only used it in my coffee.
The Classic P90X program will have you exercise six days every week just as Lean and Doubles. P90X focus on a variety of aerobic and anaerobic routines, just about half each.
The Classic workout is just right for those ready to start from nothing.
Let’s take a look the Lean program.
Lean:
The Lean workout schedule does make you focus on Cardio a lot more than resistance. This is a better position to begin for those that want to stress slimming to start and then maybe get into adding muscle later. With the lean schedule you will be doing heck of a lot more cardio, which in turn will burn more calories and help you drop fat a lot quicker.
I have not triedthe lean alternative but I think it to be awesome if you desire to get ready. Especially if you didn’t think you were ready to jump into Classic. You’ll have to set aside about 1 hour and a half on any given day for your Lean workout.
What is interesting is at phase 3 of the P90X you actually exercise much in-line with Phase 1 of the Classic. Having said that you can understand how Lean can be a lead up into Classic to. Then the Classic builds into what we’ll at next.
Doubles:
This is the definitive P90X workout and is created for people already in shape or finished Classic but prepared for more punishment. You will realize why in a moment. Now with Doubles you will need a lot more time and loyalty to the program, you’ll have to set aside up to two hours and twenty minutes on some workout days. In nearly all instances you’ll get up in the morning and do the cardio workout, then a couple hours later or in the evening you will do resistance workout plus the ab routine.
The main difference between Classic and Doubles is the addition of all the aerobic workout.
All of these workouts will help with near instant weight loss.
