Visiting My Grannie
This month I visit my grandma. I enjoy visiting her, even if she has become a bit stubborn in her old age. I will not embarrass her by sharing her years, but let us simply suppose she’s a lady with thoroughly seasoned wisdom.
The last time I visited her I brought in my Yamaha keyboard PSR so I could perform some music for her. She relished it, but unfortunately since she is not all there, she kept interrupting me to ask me how to clean her computer. Yes, she actually uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I am simply that bad at performing with the keyboard.
I constantly find something enigmatic at her house when I visit. Last time, I observed several guides on penny stocks on her coffee table. My grandmother learning about penny stock trading? That is bizarre. I wonder what I will find on her cocktail table this time.
This time will make for a busy sojourn. I have to install her new Emtek door hardware and air conditioner filters then repair her garden cart. I likewise have to take her old pots and pans to charity as she just purchased a new collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the greatest of all the electic coffee makers. I appreciate it, yet I also have to chuckle as she invariably claims to have or use only the very best of this or that.
If everything goes well, she’ll utilize both to serve me some sweet java at dawn and ice cream in the afternoon. This sounds like more than reward enough for my assistance. I’m happy to assist her for nothing, but a bit of robust java and tasty ice cream doesn’t hurt.
